The MPA is a 501(c)3 organization. Proceeds go to benefit the students of Minuteman High School.
Thank you for your support!
The Minuteman Parent Association (MPA), a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization is a school-wide volunteer organization of parents/guardians whose goal is to enrich the educational and extracurricular experience of students at Minuteman High School.
All parents/guardians are welcome to our monthly meetings that are usually held on the second Wednesday or Thursday of every month during the school year in the Training Room/Room 2N11 with the exception of school or holiday conflict – see dates and times. Our meetings allow us to exchange ideas and concerns while building a more dynamic and supportive school community.
Any MPA member who would like to receive copies of the MPA meeting minutes, please send an email to INFO@minutemanparents.org. You can also email with questions, comments, suggestions or call 781.861.6500 x304.
Support Student Activities
We fulfill as many
requests as we can from teachers, student activities and athletics. We
support Minuteman's participation in SkillsUSA - a nationwide
competition that enables our students to demonstrate their skills. We
also sponsor student social events, a staff & faculty appreciation
breakfast, sports banquets and we support classroom enrichment through
our Grant-A-Wish program.
Publish the Student Directory
Your membership
includes a FREE copy of the Minuteman Student Directory. This directory
helps students and their families stay in touch and expand friendships.
The Minuteman Student Directory includes the names, addresses and
telephone numbers of students. The directory lists students
alphabetically, by town, and by year of graduation. The directory also
includes key contact information and a school calendar.
You must be a MPA member to receive a copy of the Minuteman Student Directory.
Give Scholarships and Trade Awards
Each year we
give scholarships and trade awards to outstanding seniors. In 2012 we
provided total awards of over $13,500 to seniors whose families are
members of the MPA.
Facilitate Parent Communication
Parents/guardians
can connect with each other and find out what goes on at Minuteman
through our Yahoo e-group, meetings, forums, and other activities.
However, you do not need to be member to participate. You may
participate by sending an email to INFO@minutemanparents.org, with
your name, your student's name(s), year of graduation and we will send
an invite to you to join our Yahoo e-group. We also encourage to
subscribe to various Minuteman-managed list serves.
By subscribing to "Daily Announcements" or "Minuteman Parent
Association (MPA)" you will receive various information from the school
including the monthly school newsletters for which the MPA is a major
contributor.
Raise Funds
To cover the costs of our programs
and activities, we raise funds through membership drives, a concession
stand at football games, comedy night, and donations. The MPA is a
501(c)3 organization and donors are able to deduct donations and dues
(except for the first $5) and are eligible for most employer matching
contribution programs.
